In 1980, Gushman & MacNaughton (Dick Gushman and Duncan MacNaughton) along with a prominent physician conceived of and entitled Hawaii’s first for-profit acute care hospital/medical office building.

The 250,000 square-foot medical center now part of Hawaii Pacific Health is located adjacent Pearlridge Center.
