Emily Reber Porter
Chief Operating Officer
Emily joined MacNaughton in 2015 after 15 years of cross-functional legal and business experience in Hawaii, Washington D.C., and California. She leads and oversees strategic and operational initiatives across the company and its projects across Hawai`i and the U.S. continent.
Emily is a graduate of Punahou School, Princeton University, and Harvard Law School, and was a Fulbright Scholar in Japan. With family roots in Hawaii since the late 1800s, Emily serves on numerous community fiduciary and advisory boards in Hawaii – Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, Punahou School, MacNaughton Foundation, KUPU Hawaii, UH’s Shidler College of Business and Housing Hawaii’s Future, and previously Child and Family Service, Oahu Transportation Services, Outrigger Canoe Club including as its President, and more – for a combined total of 60+ years. She also serves on corporate boards including of Young Brothers and Kualoa Ranch. Emily has received numerous recognitions in law, business, leadership, and hospitality, including Hawai‘i Business magazine’s 20 for the Next 20 in 2018, Girl Scouts of Hawaii’s Woman of Distinction in 2019, Hawaii Leadership Forum’s Omidyar Fellow in 2020, Pacific Business News’ Pineapple Award for Hospitality in 2024, and Honolulu Magazine’s inaugural Celebrating Wāhine Award in 2025.
