Ian MacNaughton
Chief Executive Officer + Principal

Ian MacNaughton leads MacNaughton as its Chief Executive Officer. Having joined in 2006, Ian oversees the firm’s development, financing, and investment activities, as well as the strategic direction of the company.

Previously, Ian worked in the Acquisitions Group of Starwood Capital Group, the Investment Management Division of Goldman Sachs & Co., and the Investment Banking Division of UBS AG.

In other areas of business, Ian was formerly a principal shareholder and director of the parent of Zephyr Insurance Company (before the sale of the company), a Hawaii-based property and casualty enterprise, and Chairman of the Twin Farms Collection LLC, a luxury hospitality property in Vermont.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Ian received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. His active professional memberships include the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics Policy Advisory Board, and Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He also serves as an Advisory Board Member for the UCLA Master of Real Estate Development program and on the Board of Directors of the MacNaughton Foundation.
