MacNaughton Hospitality Appoints Managers, Directors

MacNaughton Hospitality, a family-owned hospitality and real estate investment, development and management firm headquartered in Honolulu, has appointed four new personnel.

John White has joined as director, commercial strategy. He brings more than 25 years of experience in brand strategy, revenue generation and brand awareness. His recent efforts at Kaanapali Beach Hotel on Maui, where he served as director, sales and marketing, includes implementing a global commercial strategy that led to the hotel being recognized as Hawaii’s top-rated destination in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards.


Yvonne Gu McDowell has been appointed director, revenue strategy. Her responsibilities include managing and maximizing revenue from various sources, strategically overseeing pricing, inventory and distribution channels for the company’s hotel assets. As revenue manager for Kaanapali Beach Hotel, she helped navigate the property's 2023 acquisitionby Outrigger Hotels & Resorts.


Richard Oshiro has been named to the newly created position of regional sales manager. He focuses on the wholesale, military, groups and travel agent market segments for Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head, Waikiki Malia and Hotel Renew. He has almost a decade of experience, including roles at Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel, Outrigger Hotels and Resorts and Hawaii Island Air.


Tonia de Lima has been appointed financial controller. She oversees all financial aspects and contributes to strategic decision-making. With a decade of experience, she previously served as director, finance for Blue Pacific Management.
