Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room to Open Next Year at Kapolei Commons

PACIFIC BUSINESS NEWS

Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room will open a new location next year at Kapolei Commons, the companies announced this week.

It will mark the second location for Village Bottle Shop, which opened in 2016 in SALT at Our Kakaako.

Timothy Golden, partner at Village Bottle Shop, said in a statement he has been looking to grow the business for years, but put expansion plans on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Our customers who live on the West side have been asking for a Leeward location and after canvasing several sites in the area, we kept coming back to Kapolei Commons due to its vibrant mix of businesses and its convenient location,” Golden said. “We can’t wait to serve a new community on Oahu, offering a superior craft beer selection and a new menu.”

In addition to a wide selection of local and international craft beer and spirits, the new location will feature a food menu with offerings including gourmet sausages, smash burgers, and salads made with locally sourced ingredients.

The location will be comprised of nearly 2,000 square feet, along with 925 square feet of patio space. It’s expected to employ about 20.

“We are thrilled Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room has selected Kapolei Commons to grow their exceptional concept that features over 500 curated beers, many of which are rare to find in Hawaii,” stated Todd Hedrick, vice president of leasing and property management at MacNaughton, the developer behind the center. “This new opening is a welcome addition to the diverse mix of merchants already on-site and will enhance our selection of food and beverage offerings the local community has expressed is important to the area.”

In an email provided to PBN, Hedrick said the center is currently 100% leased, although a few spaces are empty because incoming tenants are waiting on building permits.

“We have five tenants that have a fully executed lease and are waiting on building permits — one of the five is Village Bottle Shop,” he said. "The other four tenants have not announced yet.”

“Demand exceeds supply at Kapolei Commons,” he added.
